The Steakhouse is one of the most beautiful restaurant and bars in this area  and is truly a "must see."

My mother had the  8 oz. filet with steakhouse fries and I had the grilled chicken and baked potato. We both had the tomato basil soup.

 

The Steakhouse has been a favorite of mine for many years. despite being in northern Wisconsin, they actually have pretty good steaks. Mom's steak was cooked to perfection and she says it was wonderful, as well as her potatoes. My grilled chicken breast was, well...a chicken breast. It was good, the baked potatoes are really good as they rub them with kosher salt before baking. The tomato basil soup was also very good.

On Friday nights they have a very good fish-fry - Haddock and broasted chicken, potato  and cole-slaw. All-you-can-eat. I believe you can have the fish either broiled or deep-fried.

The ambiance of the steakhouse is killer: trees inside, twinkling lights, big old fireplace with seating around it, and fire-less candles throughout. Very nice Northwoodsy decorations. Comfortable, friendly, and generally pretty good service. The bartender is friendly and they do some good ice cream drinks such as a Grasshopper and Brandy Alexander.

There have been occasions when the service ran slower, but on this particular night it was perfect.
