Let's talk eclectic and...stuff. This is a place that looks very small from the outside and yet you can go from a small entrance that has dining tables, through a hall with booths, into another large area with sofas, dining tables, and a coffee bar, which leads into another large dining area.

They are located downtown and right in the middle of college-town.


They get VERY busy and they are only open from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm, so get there early or expect a wait.

I have been there two times, the first time was with my husband and he ordered the El Presidente which is a hashbrown scrambler with corn, red and green peppers, jack and cotija, poblanos and chorizo topped with two over-easy eggs, sour cream, cilantro and fresh fruit or toast.
I had the Penn and Teller which is a five or eight ounce ball tip steak, two eggs, peppered parmesan garlic hashbrowns, and toast, with home-made avocado lime steak sauce.

Both were delicious, the parmesan hashbrowns are incredible, and the steak was better than Digger's. Go figure.

The second time I was there I had their house special, Lemon Ricotta  hotcakes which are only served on SATURDAY AND SUNDAY WHILE THEY LAST! Three or five of their signature lemon ricotta hotcakes served with butter, homemade whipped cream and topped with fresh strawberries.

The food is awesome, the interior is eclectic and very casual, the service is good, and the prices are reasonable. It has a funky, fun feeling, lots of energy, and you will see all ages and groups of people.

It's worth the drive from Hayward and we will go again. If it was nearer, we would be there much more. So if you are staying in a hotel in Eau Claire that serves a free breakfast...skip it and go to this place. You will not be sorry.
