When we were visiting La Crosse, we wanted to go to a good steakhouse and we found Digger's online. We were really looking forward to it. Upon arrival we noticed that the entrance had a very small area near the bar at the windows and this is where were we seated. We were initially thinking they had a small bar - it wasn't big, but it was an old-feel and look steakhouse. We were really looking forward to our dinner, which was a rib-eye for Todd and a sirloin and "Colossal" scallops for me. 

 

A few things:
1) The steaks were sadly overcooked and the sirloin was nothing better than an average steak from a local grocery store.
2) The "Colossal" scallops were not colossal at all. They were not even what I would describe as large scallops.

3) The garlic bread was awesome.
4) The service was very good.

5) The drinks were very good and it had great ambiance.

6) When needing the restroom we discovered the other side of the restaurant which had jammed so many table so close together you could hardly move. And bizarrely, they had another long bar in that area that ran alongside the wall with the restrooms. You had to literally SQUEEZE by to get them. Seriously? This IS a fire hazard waiting to happen.

 

Even though we had good service and food, it was expensive for what you got, and way too crowded.
This is one place we would not go to again.
